Data Deletion Request
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This page explains how users of GridHunter can request deletion of personal data associated with the GridHunter service, VPN access, official applications and User Portal.
1. How to request deletion
To request deletion of your data, email support.gridhunter@gmail.com with the subject GridHunter Data Deletion Request.
Please include enough information for us to identify the relevant account, subscription or device installation. Depending on what you use, this may include:
- the email address associated with your GridHunter account, if you have one;
- your GridHunter nickname or account display name;
- information identifying the affected subscription or device installation;
- a short description of the data you want deleted.
Do not send passwords, complete VPN connection credentials, payment-card numbers, private keys or other unrelated sensitive information.
2. Verification
We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request relates to you or to a subscription or device that you control. This is necessary to avoid deleting another user's data.
If the information provided is not enough to identify the relevant records, we may ask for additional information before processing the request.
3. Data that may be deleted
Where applicable and where there is no legal or operational requirement to retain it, a deletion request may cover personal data such as:
- account profile information, including nickname, account identifiers and associated email address;
- device and installation records, including installation identifiers or hashes, device name, model, platform, operating-system version, application version and last activity information;
- subscription and access records that are no longer required to provide the service;
- session records and authentication-related records that are no longer required;
- support information or diagnostic information where it is no longer required for an active request, security investigation or dispute;
- other personal data that can lawfully be erased under applicable data-protection rules.
4. Data that may be retained
Some records may need to be retained even after a deletion request. This can include information required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, abuse-prevention, dispute-resolution or compliance purposes.
Examples may include:
- transaction and payment-related records that must be kept for legal, accounting, refund, dispute or fraud-prevention purposes;
- security and abuse-prevention records required to protect GridHunter users and infrastructure;
- support correspondence that must remain available while a request, dispute or legal matter is unresolved;
- backup copies that remain until the applicable backup-retention cycle ends;
- records held by service providers where their own legal or operational retention obligations still apply.
There is no single retention period that applies to every GridHunter system or provider. Retained data is kept only for as long as required by its purpose, the applicable retention cycle or a legal obligation. When continued retention is no longer required, the data should be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
5. Processing time
We will review deletion requests and respond within the time limit required by applicable law. If additional time is legally permitted and necessary, we will explain the reason for the extension.
Deletion from active systems does not necessarily remove the same information immediately from every backup or provider copy. Such copies may remain until their applicable retention cycle ends and must be considered when backups are restored.
6. If you only want to remove GridHunter from your device
Uninstalling the GridHunter application removes the application's local data from that device according to Android behaviour, but it does not automatically delete server-side account, subscription, device, support, security or transaction records.
If you want server-side data reviewed for deletion, submit a deletion request using the email address above.
7. Privacy information
For more information about the categories of information GridHunter may process, the purposes of processing, service providers, international processing, retention and your rights, see the GridHunter Privacy Policy.
