The conditions for using GridHunter during the Founding Beta.

1. About GridHunter

GridHunter is an independent project operated by a private individual. In these Terms, "GridHunter", "we" and "us" refer to the operator of the GridHunter service. You can contact us at [email protected].

These Terms cover the GridHunter website, User Portal, VPN service and official applications. They apply when you accept them to create an account or use the service. The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data are handled.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms. Use the service only where your use is permitted by applicable law.

You may use a nickname as your display name; your legal name is not required for registration. Provide an email address you control, keep your account details current and do not impersonate another person.

Keep your password, subscription link and access credentials private. Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for your own use and for access you knowingly authorise, subject to applicable law.

3. Free Founding Beta access

Founding Beta access does not require a subscription payment. The beta is an evolving service, and participation does not guarantee access for a fixed period or permanent availability.

Device limits, traffic allowances, available locations and supported features are determined by the applicable beta access rules. These may change as the service develops. Do not resell access or share credentials to evade account or device limits.

4. Availability and limitations

Connections may be interrupted by maintenance, software errors, capacity limits, network filtering or failures involving infrastructure providers. Server locations, routing and supported applications may change. We will give reasonable notice of significant planned changes where practicable.

A VPN does not guarantee anonymity, access to any particular website or protection against every security threat. It does not replace secure devices, software updates or appropriate precautions when sharing information online.

5. Voluntary support and future paid plans

Any payment clearly offered as voluntary support is optional. It does not purchase or extend VPN access, increase limits or unlock priority service or features. The Founding Beta & Voluntary Support Policy and Refund & Payment Policy explain these payments.

Paid plans, if introduced, will be offered separately with their price, duration, renewal and refund conditions. Creating an account, participating in the beta or making a one-time contribution does not enrol you in a paid subscription. The end of the beta does not authorise an automatic charge.

6. Acceptable use and access restrictions

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a violation, a credible security risk, serious disruption or a legal obligation. Measures should be proportionate to the circumstances.

Where practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. Immediate action may be necessary to contain an incident, and some details may be withheld to protect others or comply with law. You may request a review by contacting support.

7. Ending your use

You may stop using GridHunter at any time and contact support to request account closure or deletion of personal data. Account closure and deletion of retained records are separate processes, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may end the Founding Beta or discontinue a feature. Where reasonably possible, we will give advance notice. A voluntary contribution does not guarantee continued operation or a particular release.

8. Software and third parties

You may use official GridHunter applications for their intended purpose, subject to their applicable licences. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences. These Terms do not remove rights granted by those licences or grant rights to GridHunter branding or server resources.

Hosting, email, payment and network providers may affect service availability. When you use a third-party service, its own terms may also apply. This does not remove any responsibility GridHunter has under applicable law.

9. Responsibility, rights and changes

To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted, error-free service or suitability for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

We will identify changes by an updated date and provide notice of material changes where required or reasonably appropriate. If a change requires fresh acceptance, we will request it. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an earlier payment or incident. Applicable mandatory rights and access to competent courts remain unaffected.
